Chris Dorner

Chris Dorner

Christopher Jordan Dorner (June 4, 1979  – February 12, 2013) was a Los Angeles police officer who, beginning on February 3, 2013, committed a series of shootings in Orange County, Los Angeles County, and Riverside County, California. The victims were police and other civilians, including police families. Dorner killed four people and wounded three others. On February 12, 2013, Dorner died during a standoff with San Bernardino County Sheriff's Deputies after a shootout at a cabin in the San Bernardino Mountains.

A manifesto reportedly posted by Dorner on Facebook declared "unconventional and asymmetric warfare" upon the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), their families, and their associates, unless the LAPD admitted publicly he was fired in retaliation for reporting excessive force.
In two separate incidents during the manhunt, police shot at three civilians unrelated to Dorner, mistaking their pickup trucks for the vehicle being driven by Dorner. One of the civilians was hit by the police gunfire, another was wounded by shattered glass, and a third individual was injured when police rammed his vehicle and opened fire. The officers involved were not charged with any crime.
Christopher Jordan Dorner was born on June 4, 1979 in New York and grew up in Southern California.  He attended Cypress High School in Cypress, California, where he graduated in 1997.  Dorner graduated from Southern Utah University in 2001, with a major in political science and a minor in psychology. While there, he was a football running back from 1999 to 2000.

Dorner later stated that he was the only African-American student in his school from first grade to seventh grade, and that he had altercations due to racism.[13] When he was a teenager, he decided to become a police officer and joined a youth program offered by the police department in La Palma, where he lived at the time of the shootings.  Neighbors described Dorner as from an admired, well-liked family and a man who usually kept to himself. He was previously married, with no children. Court records show his wife filed for divorce in 2007.

The film has been called a "semi-biographical" take on Davidson's life, who lost his firefighter father during the September 11 attacks and has had his own battles with depression.

Scott has been a case of arrested development ever since his firefighter father died when he was seven. As his younger sister heads off to college, Scott, now in his mid-20s, spends his days smoking marijuana and hanging out with his friends.

When his mother starts dating Ray, a loudmouth firefighter, it sets off a chain of events that forces Scott to grapple with his grief and start to move forward in life.

The Last of Us Part II is an upcoming action-adventure survival horror game played from the third-person perspective.  Players can use firearms, bows, improvised weapons, and stealth to defend against hostile humans and cannibalistic creatures infected by a mutated strain of the Cordyceps fungus. The gameplay mechanics in Part II have also expanded upon its predecessor, The Last of Us. In it the player character can traverse the environment further by being able to reach higher vantage points by jumping and climbing whilst playing as the more nimble Ellie.  Players can also crawl in a prone position to evade enemies.  Throughout the game, players will have an non-player character assisting them.  Additionally, large portions of the game are set in Seattle, Washington.

The game also sees the return of "Listen Mode" allowing players to locate enemies through a heightened sense of hearing and spatial awareness, indicated as outlines visible through walls and objects.  Additionally, players can collect supplements to upgrade skills in a skill tree.  The three main branches of the tree are Survival, Crafting, and Stealth.  Survival upgrades improve health, Listen Mode's range, and throw distance.   Crafting upgrades allow for melee upgrades, increase to Ellie's crafting speed, and the ability to craft smoke and stun bombs.  Stealth upgrades improve prone movement speed, faster stealth kills, and unlock pistol silencers.  Part II also introduces guard dogs that can track the player's scent
