Chemban Vinod
Chemban Vinod Jose is an Indian film actor, producer, and screenwriter, who predominantly works in Malayalam films. He is a physiotherapist by profession.[1] He made his acting debut with the 2010 crime film Nayakan, playing an antagonistic role. Later he established himself as a successful character actor by appearing in more than 50 films, mostly in comedic roles. His best known for his performances include but not limited to Amen (2013), Tamaar Padaar (2014), Sapthamashree Thaskaraha (2014), Iyobinte Pusthakam (2014), Kohinoor (2015) and Oru Second Class Yathra (2015).
In 2017, he made his screenwriter debut with the crime drama Angamaly Diaries, a major critical and commercial success in Malayalam that year. In the following year, he co-produced the thriller Swathanthryam Ardharathriyil. In 2018, he won the Best Actor Award at 49th International Film Festival of India for his leading role in Ee.Ma.Yau.
Personal Life
Chemban Vinod Jose was born to Maliackal Chemban Jose and Annies on 24 May 1976, in Angamaly as their eldest son. He did his schooling in Kidangoor, Angamaly and subsequently did his Pre-degree from St. Paul's College, Kalamassery. He moved to Bangalore in 1991 for higher studies, followed by his siblings Deepa and Ullas. His younger brother Ullas Jose Chemban debuted in the movie Angamaly Diaries which is scripted by Vinod. He graduated with a degree in physiotherapy from Bangalore. He was married to Sunitha, also a physiotherapist who works in New York City. They have a son John Chris Chemban. They later got divorced and on 28th of april 2020 he married Mariam Thomas who is working as a Psychologist.
